In 1989, Sherry Rousso began her small boutique business representing one DP.
It was probably the farthest thing from her mind that within ten short years, she
would be the owner of a prestigious and widely respected company representing
dozens of the industry's finest Directors of Photography.
Her extensive experience within the industry has been wideranging.
Starting at an editorial facility organizing and developing the tape division, she later
moved to the agency and production end of the business. As Head of Production at
McCaffery and McCall, she was responsible for clients such as Mercedes Benz, Hartford
Insurance, and JC Penney. Later she would open and run the New York office of Peterson Communications
where she worked with the likes of director John St. Clair.
These connections formed a natural bridge toward the creation of
Sherry Rousso Associates. When asked how it was that SRA has had such a successful climb, Sherry
answers nurturing - the nurturing of a DP's clients and ideas. Her philosophy is based in
words such as "integrity, honesty, and humanity."
